ESMUC Announces “Music Therapy Without Borders” – Arts & Health 2025 Conference
The Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC) will host the tenth Arts & Health conference, entitled “Music Therapy Without Borders: A Challenge of Professionalism and Rigour.” The event will take place 14–15 November 2025 in Barcelona, with both onsite and online participation.
This year’s theme highlights the importance of European and international collaboration in advancing music therapy practice, research, and training. The programme brings together leading voices from across Europe, including experts in neuroscience, clinical work, community arts, and interdisciplinary health research, to explore how music therapists can work across cultural, national, and professional boundaries with integrity and scientific rigor.
Keynote presentations will address the expanding role of music therapy within healthcare systems, innovative cross-border practices, and the growing evidence base supporting its impact. The conference also offers roundtables, practical workshops, project presentations, and opportunities for networking among practitioners, educators, students, and researchers.
