Celebrating European Music Therapy Day 2025

On 15 November 2025, the day when music therapists across Europe celebrate European Music Therapy Day, a national Music Therapy Conference will take place in Gyenesdiás, Hungary. The event is organised by the Hungarian Music Therapy Association and hosted in the local Community Hall, bringing together professionals, educators and students to exchange knowledge and share experiences from diverse areas of practice.

The aim of the conference is to promote a broader understanding and acceptance of music therapy methods, and to encourage their practical application across the region. The day-long programme includes presentations on current developments in music therapy in Hungary, integrated music and art therapy, rehabilitation, elderly care, stroke recovery, and support for people living with addictions.

Invited speakers include Julianna Paár, Zsuzsanna Ittzés-Szűcs, Éva Iván, Adrienn Koncsag, Melinda Kanizsai, Frank Péter, and Ágnes Kőhalmi, among others. The programme also features opportunities for networking, shared singing, and interactive workshops led by experienced practitioners.

Participation in the conference is free of charge, and local educators, health and social care professionals, and anyone interested in the benefits of music therapy are warmly invited to attend.

This event perfectly embodies the spirit of European Music Therapy Day — fostering connection, exchange and collaboration among music therapists across Europe.
